Our students are the best indicator for the success of the school.  2014 Graduating Senior, Jordan Mileski (also a Daniels Foundation Fellowship recipient) writes the following about MVHS:   New Mexico has the 49th lowest graduation rate in the nation.  However, there’s an oasis in this desert.  Just as the oasis provides hope for the weary traveler, Moreno Valley High School provides the support necessary for the cultivation of successful students.  Time and time again I have seen the absolute devotion of the teachers met by the vast ambition of the students.  Though our time here is fleeting, the lessons we are endowed with will guide us for the extent of our lives.  Out test scores are good, but that does not define us.  Out graduation rate is high, but that does not define us.  The strength of our community defines us.  Despite scouring winds and the thirst for resources, our resolve endures and our sanctuary survives.

Our 2014 graduating class was small (17) but mighty. 87% are planning on attending college.  They have chosen the following: Chapman University (CA), Central New Mexico University, Haverford College, New Mexico State University, Occidental College, St. John’s College, University of Arizona, UCLA, University of New Mexico, University of Northern Colorado, UC Monterey Bay and USC.  Some have chosen to begin their career in the work-world and one is taking a “gap-year” in Costa Rica.  Congratulations and Best Wishes to the Class of 2014.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES The 2015 – 2016 school year will bring some open teaching positions.  We will have a mixed math/science position open and a Social Studies position open.  Multiple certifications are always preferable.   Contact  director@mvhsnm.org for more information.  This is a GREAT place to teach!
